Wednesday 28 March 2012

Was out for a while today with my camera trying to be arty..... Lol.

Max speed attempt.

I tried to film my cub at top speed today but couldn't quite get there. I was again riding with one hand and filming with the other. Things got a bit wobbly......Lol.

Monday 26 March 2012

My first attempt at riding with a video camera in my hand. It was just a quick circuit of my favourite night time dash in the pitch black. Believe it or not I can actually do it in about half the time at night for two reasons.

The first is obvious..... Its a lot easier when using two hands :-).

The second is that when riding at night you can see oncoming cars from way off because you can see their lights approaching. Also you dont get pedestrians on that road at night without a bright torch and hi viz vest.

Tuesday 20 March 2012

I'd still go for the original supercub. The man goes on about reliability of the sym. They havent been around long enough to qualify that statement. In fact to the contrary, from what I can see on the net is that they are just another plastic copy type. I'd like to see how many of them will survive for 40+years like the legendary llittle Honda :)
Beautiful CT Postie in Aus.

Really cool CT Chopper

Clontibret honda run 11/3/12

Always a well attended, well organised run.

The day was dry but quite cool. Disappointing because the previous day had been glorious.

Good long fast paced run @70 miles. Great food and raffle prizes which I didn't win again......

Honda run, Delvin, County Westmeath 4/3/12

Sunday the fourth of March and its my first organised honda run of the year.

I managed to hitch a lift with a friend who was trailering his bike the 60 miles to the meet so I took the easy option. The sun had come out by the time we arrived.

There were 100+ bikes in attendance. A great mix too. A couple of mint CD175s and a couple of Japanese imports.

A good fast longish run, about 70 miles finished off with soup and sandwiches and the raffle (which I never win).
